Holiday Schedule Changes: Yard Waste Pickup & Compost Site
Due to the Independence Day holiday, the City of Mount Pleasant has adjusted the schedule for yard waste collection and the compost site. This week’s curbside yard waste collection will take place on Thursday instead of Friday. Residents who would like to participate must contact City Hall by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday to be added to the pickup list. The City Compost Site will be closed on Saturday, July 4, in observance of the holiday. If you have any questions, please contact City Hall at (319) 385-1470.
The Mount Pleasant City Council will meet in regular session Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at City Hall, 307 E. Monroe Street (second floor of Public Library) at 5:30 p.m.
